Why would someone as disliked as Dan Hu and Catherine Zhong still be willing to run for board?
What makes them want and hope they get re-elected?
Are there owners in our condo that just vote blindly?
Every year these two folks bring up a lot of controversy upon them and they still get elected?
Ignorance?
Conspiracy?
Forgery?
All of the above?
Or, the attendance to this discussions is insignificant compared to the mass of voters?
Please don't forget those who are helping them get elected...Nancy was seen with Dan collecting votes.. Not to many votes I guess. Right after that a infamous letter from Taft went out....I wonder why...Wanna guess why...

Would Steve/Michael be better than Dan/Catherine? I would give Steve my vote and I would also give my vote to Michael. Now, my perception is that Steve and Michael are not really friendly to each other (I might be wrong though)..Would it be a good thing to have two opposites in the board???
ReplyDeleteTHAT WOULD BE A STRANGE MIX... ONE SITS AT HOME AND IS NEVER SEEN ...THE OTHER IS ALWAYS SEEN..ONE OF THEM HAS TO FORGET THE PAST...IF THAT HAPPENED IT WOULD BE ONE DIFFERENT COMBO... A LITTLE TESTY AT TIMES I WOULD IMAGINE BUT WE WOULD BE ON THE RIGHT TRACK TO HAVE THE EMPLOYE WORKING FOR US INSTEAD OF THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

ReplyDeleteall owners are entitled to see the financial statements and to ask how the money is being spent. Question the board and ask who,what,where,when,why to get an answer to your questions.

ReplyDeletethey won't step up some are busy making a livingand others who have a few hours to spare in a month simply don't care... and they probably be the most vocal when things go wrong.. this board and management lately have not communicated with us even now...a huge rush to do things before an election...flonting the lae and ignoring the condo act ...If this is what you want don't even show up.. you will get what you deserve...TALK TO YOUR NEIGHBOURS!!!
ReplyDeleteTwo of my votes go to Mona I have a great deal of trust in her and seamus why ? he worked here knows what has gone on and still bought a unit here and knows what changes need to be made..

Seamus is very stubborn - and might be at times repugnant. Have you ever directly dealt with him? If he gets fixed on some wrong idea or action his stubborness could be a disaster for owners. Hopefully if he gets elected, will only have bright ideeas and will only take smart actions :-) He's not getting my vote.
ReplyDeleteHe may be stubbourn I have not found him to be that way, but with the right people with him on the board that could change ..I believe Mona will be a good chioce... Don't forget to check your mail box Michael has surfaced they are sure to attack him now but truth is truth they are breaking the law and we should have another election for her position soon unless they ignore the law.. That would put us in a BAD position ...we could be taken over by the GOV. if someone takes this further...Ask that Question...Should this happen (and I hope not ) you would have a board with litterally no say the APPOINTED MANAGEMENT CO. WWould tell the board what to do ( raise fees...special assasment to top up the reserve fund ) and under the law all this board could do is protesr BUT the appointed CO. has the last say... Check that out

ReplyDeleteBut it seems to not enough people. It wold be nice if a board member Bob,Nancy or Dan would join in. I'm sure they are reading and getting prepared for all our answers.BUT will Nancy's position come up for a vote as it should or will they stall and give excuses...We could easily hav a vote for her position in DEC....If they wanted to... and she can run again ....she could do the right thing and step down on her own that would be the right thing to do....I wonder who gave her the advice to stay on?Surely not Management.....

ReplyDeleteWhy has our Lawyer(?) explained to them that this is the Law and they are breaking it!!! I'm sure that Michael did not make up his letter he could possibly be in a bad spot , BUT I looked it up you can to on the web.. he is right. So will they have a new election asap Nancy should NOT BE ON THE BOARD AFTER THE AGM. Don't hold your breath for this to happen unless it goes to a lawyer and this time WE WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR TWO LAWYERS THERE'S AND OURS..

Questions to Catherine and Dan Hu at our AGM

Conduct of business
32. (1) Subject to subsection 42 (5), the board of a corporation shall not transact any business of the corporation except at a meeting of directors at which a quorum of the board is present. 1998, c. 19, s. 32 (1).
Quorum
(2) A quorum for the transaction of business is a majority of the members of the board. 1998, c. 19, s. 32 (2).
For our YCC244 the board member of 5 ,the majority must be 3+. That means any transactions done by only 2 board members is illegal. Even if there were 3 Board members if the 3 rd one was appointed by the left 2 Board members.
So we must ask Catherine and Dan Hu and verify :
1. How many Board members were there on the Board when you signed the contract with the contractor NAN BEI for the swimming pool?
2. How many Board members were there on the Board when you signed the contract with NAN BEI for the stucco project of Building A & B?
3. Why did you sign such big projects with the same contractor NAN BEI and let NAN BEI to sub-contract the stucco project some one else?
4. Was it worth $100,000+ to do the swimming pool? Was it worth using out our Reserve Fund before you step down to do the stucco?
5. Did you guys get money from NAN BEI and other of your contractors, if yes how much? How much per unit owner?
6. Do you want to continue doing crazy things like that by running the Board again?
Do you have so many assets? And feeling the breath of the law enforcers behind your neck? Then come and take the help of this site. When I took their help I wasn’t sure that that they would be so helpful. But as I followed their advices on anonymous transactions, I felt secured. They are really very helpful. Go ahead try them.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the NEW board ....As the Lawyer stated several times last night the Law is the Law... Nancy,if she continues to sit on the board is breaking the law ...this board must start off by enforcing this Law... If they don't this could result in this matter being taken to court. This could result in severe consequences for us all.
