Apparently they want to remove Bob and Dan from the board.

Bob and Dan hired Taft management, hired the lawyer and have been on this board for how many years now. They are pushing the new board members away by keeping them in the dark, voting down against everything and insisted that Nancy stay on the board as an officer. They are the ones who insisted on 22% reduction for condo fees and they don't want the community involved to discuss this. Seamus and Mona were both voted on the board to reduce the condo fees further by opening up the discussion regarding condo fees and hydro. From what I heard there was a vote put forward by Dan and Bob to increase the condo fees this year which Seamus and Mona voted against. Seems they are doing there same tricks to keep out people from what they want to do to our community. They mess it up and still are not finished. I will sign that pension to get rid of those two fools.

ReplyDeleteREMOVE THEM AS SOON AS WE CAN... THEY WILL ONLY RAISE OUR MAINT. FEES ... . The meters have been installed for months now and we are paying a fee for these meters and it is comming out of our maint fees. WHEN DO WE START TO PAY OUR HYDRO and stop these people from bleeding us dry
You can blame all of these problems on NANCY PHILIP unit # 14 @5 Pebble Byway for not stepping down from her Position as decreed by LAW . Had she stepped down as she was supposed to this problem would not exist to-day. Don HU and Bob are also to blame they also made the decision to defy the ACT and are equally responsible for this situation. It would also be interesting to know what Management (Justin ) had to do with this if anything.
ReplyDeleteThey should be charged under the ACT and be held financially responsible what they have done, and further charged and be removed from EVER holding a position of any type on any board in this Provence.

ReplyDeleteHow do these three people look at themselves in a mirror and continue to defy the law. Have they no self respect? It seems that they don't especially Nancy she should publicly send a letter of resignation for causing this travesty. But don't hold your breath for this to happen... you can tell from what has been going on that she seems to arrogant self centered to do this for our community. So get rid of the three of them this will solve the problem. We have to do this...They won't leave until they are removed by the owners who truly care for our community..It is obvious that they don't care! They have shown this by their actions!
In case you haven't noticed a notice has gone up in the entrance ways of our buildings for and election for Nancy's position. WHY has this not gone out to everyone's mailbox that is NORMAL for all elections? This seems like BOB,DAN and Taft (Justin ) would rather not notify as is the usual case by notifying us in the usual manner by proper notification by mail for the AGM.

As responsible owners we must not allow NANCY to hold ANY position on our Board!

You asked the Question. Do they have any self respect? Obviously they have none! How can they even show their face here let alone stay on the board after what they have done.
ReplyDeleteI would like to hear the story they will tell us at the next vote. How can they plead ignorance of the Law when they know what the Law is.
Who are kidding, there are people in our community who think breaking the Law is acceptable as long as it benefits them. What about the rest of us? Are we going to allow these people to destroy our place?

ReplyDeleteYou noticed they only gave us until Monday to put in your resume'.! Seems like they don't want any changes! What ever happened to a week or two? Surely they knew about this quite a while ago. Seems like somebody forgot oor just don't want to have people look into what has been going on.

If it is shown that Taft has in anyway interfered in our business or not done their due diligence in supervising the work done by contractors for example MOULD and leakage in some units they should be held FULLY responsible for their actions and brought to task IN COURT.
ReplyDeleteThe actions of the BOARD (DAN, NANCY and BOB )should also be looked into if they did not make sure that things were done properly.
It is time to put an end to the actions of these people and, if found they have not done their job for which they were elected or hired for legal action SOULD AND MUST be taken against them.

This was decided to start Jan.1 2011.
We are now paying extra money through our Maint.Fees for these meters.

Why don't we get rid of ALL of them including Management. Two of these Members and Management are left over from Catherine's board then we can start all over fresh hopefully with out all this nonsense.
ReplyDeleteWe were to have a vote for 4 positions at the AGM but these three people they wouldn't allow the people to have an HONEST vote. So what does that tell you about them?
ReplyDeleteIf you think they are honest and would conduct themselves in a honest way, just look at what they have done with our rights as owners.
I personally don't believe they can be trusted any longer.
I believe that Bob, Dan and Nancy conspired to deprive this community of an HONEST vote and should be taken to court and charged under the condo act.

Even the Lawyer must have told them,he should know the Law. If this had all been done honestly and legally we would not be where we are today.
So how can you trust these three people to honestly represent us???
I can't! Can you believe that they would HONESTLY look after our affairs? I hope you wouldn't after seeing this dishonest and deceitful side of them!

Bob and Dan are left overs from Catherine's board!
We all know what they did then! All we can expect from them is more of the same.
Nancy seems to be no better!
Why would she openly break the condo act along with Bob and Dan?
If this goes to court they will have put , not just themselves, but ALL of us in a terrible situation.
The Judge can put other people in charge of ALL of our affairs and we would not have any say what is done in our community. This IS A FACT it has been done in many cases before.
Can we afford to have these three people continue to run our affairs. NO! Absolutely not!
They should do the right thing and resign!
But don't expect these people to do this. They have shown that the only thing they want to do is to hold on to their power and continue to deceive us.
If they do not resign they must be taken to court for their deceitful and unlawful actions!
PLEASE as caring owners do NOT allow Bob and Dan to continue to put our community in danger as they have.
Remove them before it is to late.

I have been reading everyone's comments a had been undecided on what to think about the problem and at one time thought that they should all stay. Now after reading and talking to neighbors I realize that they must go. They are right if we found out that they openly broke the law at the AGM how many times have they broken it that we do not know of.

I ask all owners to consider their actions are unacceptable and vote to remove them and not to vote for Nancy should she ever run again for a position in our community.

By now many more people are reading this blog and I would like to thank the person that started it.
ReplyDeleteWhile we all may nor agree with everything that is said, one thing we should realize is that the three people that have caused this Especially Nancy have deceived us by ignoring the law and should not be allowed to have the opportunity to do this again.
She along with Bob and Dan have shown total disregard for the law and MUST NOT be allowed to continue to put our community in jeopardy.
I have one question of someone that has some knowledge of the Condo Act.
Should the notice have gone out by mail to everyone's mail box as it was at the AGM along with the proper forms?
If this is the case why did Management not comply with the Act?
By now they are reading this along with the rest of us. Do they care to answer this question?
If the procedure was to be followed why have they not done this? This if not done according to the act could another violation of the act. The notice states AGM and should have gone out to all residents not an obscure notice that not everyone has seen.

I just received the package for the election . As everyone knows this position should have been voted on at the AGM.
ReplyDeleteBecause Nancy, Bob and Dan chose to knowingly break the law we now have the extra expense of holding another election for this position.
What I find amazing is that NANCY one of the people that chose to ignore the Law has the nerve to run again for the Board.
This person wants another opportunity to run for the board again!
How can we trust a person like this to hold a position of trust and believe that she would not continue to ignore the Condo Act as she along with others have chosen to ignore

This community should not let a person like this have an opportunity to be elected to a position of trust.

Please take a look at the rest of the people running for the Board and make your decision on another candidate other than Nancy.

These people are playing with our lives it is time to put a stop to this.
ReplyDeleteI have in my possession an email regarding the vote at the last AGM. This was given to me by a previous board member and I will ask them if I can publish it .
This consists of two parts 1) an email from Taft regarding the appointment of Nancy to the board and it clearly states that Anyone that is appointed to a board must step down and a person will be elected to the board at the next AGM. This was sent to ALL board members at that time. 2) the reply from Taft says that the board agreed with this and APPOINTED Nancy to the board Taft states that Nancy is staying on the board.
This was sent to employees of Taft, Members of the Board and the Corp. Lawyer E Lam.
This was sent before the election and instead of correcting their mistake they continued to hold the election without notifying the owners of this problem and insisted that Nancy was staying on the board in spite of what the Law says.
Bob states in his letter that he did not disregard the law.
How can he say that he did not disregard the Law when 1) he knew when Nancy was APPOINTED to the board she was only to be there until the AGM. 2) After receiving an Email regarding this continued to insist that Nancy remain on the Board Knowing THIS WAS AGAINST THE LAW!
He states in his recent letter that he did not disregard the law. This is untrue!
He also states that others want to control our board when in fact it seems that BOB,DAN and NANCY by their actions want to keep control of the board by refusing to hold a proper and LEGAL election.
In my opinion THEY are the ones trying to hold onto the complete control of the board and I ask a question of all owners why did they(Bob,Dan and Nancy )not hold an honest and open election.
Have they done something else that we should know about.
Why are they pointing fingers at others that have not been given a chance to look into their affairs when they had already openly and with FULL KNOWLEDGE broken the law.
Please take into account their record knowing that they have ignored the LAW.
At the election on the 10th of Feb. Elect an HONEST person not one that has no respect for the law or our community by ignoring it.

ReplyDeleteTo the person above speaking about their knowledge of Nancy,s position .If this is true than they have lied to us and Bob who wrote the latest letter is also not telling the truth.He knew what the law was if what was said above is true.
In the summer of this year according to the act we should and must hold our yearly AGM. By Law.And another Election.
If we give new people a chance to correct things and they do not do this, there will be new position to be filled. We can remove those that do not abide by the act and hopefully replace them with new law abiding people, not like the ones that have caused this problem.
I say elect someone in place of Nancy. She has shown by her actions that she is a person that has no respect for the law and therefore our community.
If their new Board acts like the previous board of Catherine's and does not have proper AGM's ON TIME then let the courts remove them.
We should all remember what went on with Catherine's board and their actions, and remember that Dan and Bob were part of that board yet over the years did nothing to correct the problems and Bob did quit before the election.
He did not seem to be interested enough to bring the problems to our attention then when he could have,but continued to go along with them. Now he seems to want to continue to not uphold the law only when he and the others are caught breaking it, then and only then do they do something about it.
Are these the people we need looking after our property and money?

ReplyDeleteThis,if true, will show once and for all that the Board had known about this and did nothing to correct it even at the AGM they insisted that Nancy"s position was not up for election.
This letter can be used in court as a Legal Document showing that they knew about this and still ignored the law.
The Lawyer should have written them a letter informing them of their violation. If he did and he should have there will be proof from him regarding this and he will not,under the Condo act as the Corp. Lawyer be able to defend them as they knew they were violating the law.
Anyone receive a letter in your mailbox in December or January regarding you owing confo fees and need to pay a late fee to taft management? I had talked to a neighbor who said they pay every month by automatic withdraw and they were sent a letter they owe for the month of December and a fee to pay to taft.
ReplyDeleteThere are emails sent to the Board when Nancy was APPOINTED to the board that clearly states that Nancy was ,by law was only to be on the board until the next AGM the board has knowledge of this. Management, the Lawyer and the Board where made aware that Nancy was the stand for election before the election was held this was sent to them along with the original email. and they chose to ignoer it.
